Here is my March 2020 To Be Read List!
I like to post my intended TBR list as others may find titles they might enjoy. So here is this month’s list.
My March 2020 To Be Read List
Beatriz Williams’ The Schuyler Sisters Novels
As I mentioned last month, I’m putting together a blog post that lays out the novels of Beatriz Williams and all of her interconnected characters. Last month, I read A Certain Age, and this month I’ll tackle the Schuyler sisters. This includes:
I truly enjoy Williams’ writing style, so I’m looking forward to this trio.
Circling the Sun by Paula McLain
When I was far too young, I read a book called East of the Sun by Barbara Bickmore. Let me tell you. That book has STUCK. I was thinking of it the other day, and it got me in the mood to read more fiction based in Africa. I had seen this book somewhere, and I finally looked it up. And it was perfect!
This book is fictional telling of the life of Beryl Markham, the other woman in the love triangle portrayed in Out of Africa. She’s a woman in 1920s Kenya who happens to be a pilot. That’s just the adventure I was looking for.
Out of Africa by Karen Blixen
In for a penny, right?
If I’m going to read a fictionalization by the other woman, I’d also like to see what the Baroness Karen Blixen has to say about this. Although Blixen wrote is Isak Dinesen, so I’m not sure there will be much love affair talk.
If you’re not familiar with this work, I invite you to check out the movie with Meryl Streep and Robert Redford. Because it’s Robert Redford. And Meryl Streep for that matter.
Whatever Comes Through the Libby App
I had some mind blowing gems come through the Libby app last month, and I can’t wait to see what this month will bring.
